Fabric: Cotton print that feels so fresh and new even though it is over seventy years old. Ivory background with a typical lovely 1940s print of a jade green with outlines of flowers, a diamond pattern of little floral scarves with yellow, blue, lilac and black.
 
Style: oversized squared of arm holes, square neckline with a flat panel down the centre front. The skirts have been gathered onto the bodice, with two patch pockets and waist ties that come from the front panels and tie in a bow at the centre back. 
 
Features: The whole pinafore is bound in a cream bias binding
 
Closure 8 green Bakelite buttons down the centre front

Vintage Condition: Excellent Vintage Condition: There is a bit of make do and mend on the back panel it has been beautifully repaired with a small square of cotton on the back and tiny darning stitches make the repair see the last photo it is an invisible mend. There is a little bit of wear on the armhole binding. Price reflect this 
 
Ideal to wear on a 1940s day with a headscarf and red lipstick.
