Original Vintage: Elizabeth II Coronation Souvenir Tin
A rare and lovely vintage octagon shaped tin with a hinged lid. In celebration of the Coronation of HM Queen Elizabeth II in 1953.
Elizabeth II is Queen of the United Kingdom and 14 other Commonwealth realms. Elizabeth became queen when her father King George V1 died in 1952, who himself became King following in 1937 following the abdication of his brother King Edward V111 making Elizabeth the heir presumptive. She has since become the longest serving British Monarch.

Details:
The tin has oval portraits of Queen Elizabeth and The Duke of Edinburgh on the back and front, on each side there are side panels with the coat of arms of the home nations England, Scotland, Wales, & Northern Ireland and the Royal Crown and EIIR together with the wording Coronation Souvenir June 1953. The lid is hinged which sits snugly onto the tin.

Vintage Condition: Vintage Condition: This tin has been used over the years and so has some scratches and bumps to it, the lid is now brown as the gilding has worn off, and the wording is not all clear.
