Original Vintage: Elizabeth II Coronation Souvenir Tin
A lovely vintage rectangle shaped tin with a hinged lid which sits well on the base. In celebration of the Coronation of HM Queen Elizabeth II in 1953.
Elizabeth II is Queen of the United Kingdom and 14 other Commonwealth realms. Elizabeth became queen when her father King George V1 died in 1952, who himself became King following in 1937 following the abdication of his brother King Edward V111 making Elizabeth the heir presumptive. She has since become the longest serving British Monarch.
Details:
The tin has a portrait of Queen Elizabeth with a red velvet tasselled cushion with a crown. There are Tudor roses, shamrocks and thistles fleur-de-lis and the wording Queen Elizabeth II Coronation 2nd June 1953.
