Original Vintage: 
Hand Painted Silk Padded Case
Dating from early 19th Century C1920s 
The case has been made from silk black satin lined in pale blue silky cotton, piped with a black cord. The front panel has been hand painted with a spray of cherries in oranges, yellow and green. It is open at the top edge and corner turned down and stitched. This little case would have been used to keep a ladies silk and cotton handkerchiefs in.

Vintage Condition: Excellent Vintage Condition: a small piece of wear on the front panel where the silk has worn away.
