Label: Ossie Clark for Radley Moss Crepe very collectable rare piece.
 
Ossie Clark and his textile designer wife Celia Birtwell created iconic looks of the late 1960s and 1970s. Ossie Clark worked at Alice Pollocks Quorum boutique and he was known for his ingenious cut panels and beautiful lines. In 1969 Alfred Radley became a partner in Quorum and Clark started designing for Radley.

Fabric: quality black moss crepe 
 
Style: The dress has been expertly cut and finished; Ossie Clark was influenced by the lines of the 1940s putting his own style on them.
 
Features: The dress is a shirt waister style with a looser top falling slightly gathered from a yoke at the back and front. With a feature billowing sleeve that is gathered at the shoulder and at the satin cuff. The satin spear shaped collar flows into satin panels that form the reveres that end at the waistline, satin rouleau loops and satin covered buttons run down them. The skirt has four panels that are very slimly cut over the hips in classic Ossie Clark style with fullness at the hem. There is a long self-tie belt.
 
Closure: 13 cover buttons and rouleau loops, metal hook and eye and belt.
