Made of: Cotton in a classic 1950s print with an purple, brown and white background with sprays of white flowers with green foliage and little touches of blue in the flower centres. The fabric feels fresh as the day it was made in fact I dont think it has ever been worn!
 
Style: This would have been a classic 1950s two piece made up of this skirted dress top, The original shorts are missing however I suggest teaming it with a high waisted pair of swim shorts in any of the colours in the print. Alternatively, it could be worn as a top. 
Without stretchy fabrics available sheering elastic was used to create a stretch, and this costume top has sheering elastic completely across the back panel. The front of the costume is made of eleven panels The front straps are part of the bust panel and can be altered to fit with two buttons and buttonholes on each strap. The panels flare out at the hem to give a lovely fit and flare style echoing the dresses of the era.
