Original Dust Bag included: a large, brushed cotton Louis Vuitton monogrammed and panelled bag in a fawn colour with brown corded draw stings.

Style: The Speedy was one of the first bags released in the 1930s by Louis Vuitton, designed to be an everyday little sister version of the timeless holdall bag, while still offering a roomy interior for everyday essentials. Although released in the 1930s it didn’t become the coveted and timeless bag it is today until Audrey Hepburn was seen wearing one in the 1968. In fact the Speedy’s fate was then sealed and both new and vintage versions remain incredibly popular to this day making it the most purchased Louis Vuitton bag in history.
 
Features: The bag is made from one piece of Louis Vuitton monogrammed brown canvas that wraps around from the front to the back with two end panels. It is finely pipped in tan leather, with tan leather zip pulls at both ends of the brass zip. Brass hardware includes a Louis Vuitton monogrammed padlock, attached to a leather tab. The bag has two tan smooth rounded leather stitched handles with brass square rings, stitched and riveted to the main body of the bag with tan leather tabs with Louis Vuitton stamped brass studs.

Flawed Vintage Condition: 
I acquired the bag from the original owner, who purchased it in 1987 although she always stored the bag in its original dust bag, she loved it and wore it a lot so the Speedy does have signs of wear, on all four corners of the base and there is a small area (.5cm X 2cm) on the front of the bag where the outer layer of the canvas is missing. The pocket inside does have some age marks on it. The tan leather handles have a lovely aged patina to them. The quality of the bag show through it is strong, wearable and collectable as the zip and handles are in great order, for a used  1980s Speedy Louis Vuitto. 
 
Vintage items are not new they date back to a particular era, some have survived in amazing condition, while others may show some signs of age but we feel they still deserve to make it into our collection. Therefore, we have listed our items into three Conditions:
