Vintage: Original Edwardian Top Hat 
Stamp: “Vamac Brand” John M’Veigh & Co. The Strand Outfitters Londonderry
 
Measurements: inside crown: 22 ¼”” size: 7 1/8 (medium)
height of top hat: 5 ¼” the brim is 2” (5cm) 
Made of: Soft black brushed silk in very good condition, with light brown leather inner band, and lined in ivory silk. 
The box is made of cardboard and although damaged will keep your topper safe as is quite robust.
Features: The Topper has a beautiful sheen edged in petersham around the brim which turns up at the sides, with a wool felt band.
Vintage Condition: Excellent Vintage Condition: Signs of age to the leather band and the underside of the hat. The wool band is a bit damaged and there are a few balding areas on the main hat please see photos. This said it is a very handsome hat and full of character the price reflects the condition.
