Made of silver tone metal
Style: Rare silver tone round brooch with the head of King Edward V111 set in the centre with the words Coronation 1937 below. The surround is set with some paste stones quite a few are missing.
Edward V111 was king of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions, and Emperor of India, from 20th January 1936 until his abdication in December 1936. Edward was the first monarch who took the decision to voluntary abdicate from the throne. He did this because the British Government, public and the Church of England condemned his decision to marry the American divorcée Wallis Warfield Simpson.
