Vogue Dress Pattern V2903 This is a reproduction pattern from an original 1957 Design
The earliest paper sewing patterns were pre-cut on plain tissue, with notches and holes for guidance which aided in the construction of the garment. The printed pattern was introduced in the 1920’s but did not become commonplace until just after World War II.
Pattern Company: Vogue
There are four major pattern companies still making sewing patterns today. They are Butterick, McCall’s, Simplicity and Vogue. These four are also the most found vintage patterns, though dozens of smaller companies made wonderful patterns throughout the years.

Pattern Description: Two dress patterns with cummerbund
Fitted dress, princess seams, back zip, flared skirt with inverted pleats at side, side front and side back. Inside yoke extends above the neckline. Lower calf length. Style B Contrast yoke and three-quarter length sleeves.
Notions required: Dress A, B 14” zip and seam binding
Suggested fabrics to use: Cotton, Shantung, Faille and Piqué, unsuitable for obvious diagonals, plaids, or stripes.
