Original Vintage: 1940s Light Grey Wool Felt Hat with Coloured Paper and Celluloid Flowers
 
This is the most special piece of vintage; it tells a story, it was from USA. The felt hat has been moulded or blocked into a shallow crown and the loveliest shaped and wired brim has been added, it starts narrow at the back forming a slightly wider brim at the front. Grey felt has been fashioned into a piping and this is used to decorate the top of the crown and into loops at the back. The flowers pink, Red and lilac bigger flowers have been made from parchments from maps or ledgers as the printing is visible if you look at the back of the flowers. The smaller flowers are made from some celluloid and fabric and the tiny flowers are made of velvet and paper

Inside the tape band measures 21 ¼ " (54 cm) Worn very much on top of the hair up do on the slant “a jaunty angle” and stylish.
