Fabric: A light weight very soft viscose, floral print with a white background with blue, lilac and pink flowers with highlights of apricot, taupe and black.
 
Style: A classic 1980s does 1940s This means it is a 1980s dress made to reflect a 1940s style. The dress has a yoke front and back that the bodice is softly gathered onto the neckline has a soft stand collar that is extended into ties that tie at the neck is a pussy bow. 
 
Features: The dress is a classic day dress 1940s style shirt dress with five small lilac buttons down the centre front, the short sleeves are softly gathered on to the shoulder with soft shoulder pads made of two layers of fabric to give shoulders a small definition. The skirts are made of six shaped panels so are sewn in flat at the waist with fullness at the hem. There is a narrow self-covered narrow belt.
 
Closure: Buttons down centre front and 14” (35.5cm) nylon zip at side
 
Ideal to wear for: This dress can be dressed up with a formal look ideal for work or an event. In the forties wrist length lace gloves and a straw hat could have been worn with this summer dress.
