Fabric: Pure quality matt printed silk in an olive background with a printed pattern with pale pink, yellow and turquoise rounds decorated with little mocha-coloured leaves.
 
Style: A classic late 1940s waisted dress summer dress with a fitted sleeve and tie collar.
 
Features: The bodice is darted at bust and waist back and front. The skirt has a 2 ½ “deep kick pleat at the centre back hem and five 1” (2.5 cm) pleats on the front. There is also a self-covered narrow belt. 
Closure: 10" (25.5 cm) metal zip at the side the side zips in the forties were short due to lack of metal for zips.
 
Ideal to wear for: events this dress can be dressed up, in the forties wrist length gloves and a hat and leather handbag.
