Fabric: A quality medium weight 1950s white with denim polka dot and denim blue stripe.
Style: A classic 1950's relaxed fit and flare, button through Tea dress
Features: The bodice has an open revere type collar with darts at the waist on the front and back, with a fitted in sleeve. The skirt is attached to the bodice in 2” (5 cm) box pleats, usisng the striped to their full potential, that the white polka dot stripe just pops through, and so has a lovely fullness at the hem and a petticoat can be worn underneath to give it more flare. Top Tip do this and wear a wide blet if you want to make your waist appear smaller.
Petticoats both vintage and reproduction are available for sale in our Lingerie & Nightwear Collection. There are belt loops for a ¾” (2 cm) the original belt is no longer with the dress.
Closure: The dress is buttoned through four on the bodice and six on the skirt in ivory round pearlized buttons with metal shanks.
Ideal to wear for: The dress can be worn casually or dressed up for an event such as Goodwood Revival with a hat, gloves, bag and belt as shown is the photographs. The accessories are not included but are for sale on the accessory’s pages.

Fabric: A quality medium weight cotton typical 1950s print with a soft white background with teal foliage and fuchsia and pale pink daisy flowers, and wisps of black formed in rows across the fabric.

The skirt is attached to the bodice in 1” (2.5 cm) box pleats, so has a lovely fullness at the hem and a petticoat can be worn underneath to give it more flare.
