Fabric: Printed crepe de chine with a striking print made up of a background of electric and pale blues with dashes of bright and darker with fine outlines of black ivy leaves. Bold large flowers in burnt orange and purple and white adorn the fabric. The fabric is backed on a black lining fabric. 
 
Style: Fitted shift dress falling just below the knee.
 
Features: A classic shift dress dating from the late 1950s. Made with one panel at the front, with side bust darts and two panels at the back with waist darts on the front and back to give a fitted shape.  The dress appears to have been taken in across the hips so it could be made bigger. The neckline in a flattering soft square to front and back. With a set-in sleeve.
 
Closure: Metal zip
