Original Vintage: Black Wired Net Hat Decorated with Grape Vines From USA
 
Dating from: 1930s – 1940s

The hat is made of a shaped wire around the edge and an inner circle of wire that are covered in velvet and covered with layers of millinery netting and a top slightly glossy honeycomb netting. The hat is curved across the front with slight points just above each ear which curve across the back ending in a little point at the centre back. It has narrow black velvet ribbon and 8 bunches of grapes and leaves around the edge, the hat also has two wired circular grips to sit on the head and attach a hair kirby grip pin to. A delightful hat that tells a story all of its own. The original labels being part of that story.

Vintage Condition: Excellent Vintage Condition: nearly 100 years old this hat does show sighs of its age, still a stunning piece would have has a fine mesh face veiling as some of the remains are inside.
