This dress is an original 1940s dress that was loved and worn it has some make do and mend to extend it life in a war era when fabric was in short supply. There is some darning under the arms, the hem has been hand stitched and there is a faded mark in the centre of the skirt. The dress is still so very pretty and wearable however we will always point out any wear and tear and make do and mend in our original 1940s wear.
