1940s Dark Navy vertually black Tilt Hat with Petersham Pleating & Veiling
 
Original Vintage: This is a lovely example of a Milliner made Tilt Hat made in the 1940s, it has the most iconic forties styling from the slant of the top to the beautifully box pleated petersham band and cotton veiling. The back of the hat has a double petersham tailed bow that hangs down 5 ¼ “ (13 cm)
 
The little hat is secured onto the head by putting the navy petersham band that measures (15 ½ “ (39.5 cm) over the back of your head and it can be titled to show of curls and hair up do. Tip this band sits snuggly onto the back of the head and it can be secured with kirby grip hair pins and a hat pin to secure a slanted tilt.
