Fabric: Black embroidered rayon 
The video shows the dress a bit lighter than it is please see the photos for truer colour
 
Style: A classic cleverly cut 1940s dress the sleeve is a cap sleeve from the bodice which has been ruched together at the centre front which is then covered with a bow end tie.
 
Features: Falling from the curved seam under the bust the waist seam has a half belt at the back and darts. The front of the skirt is flat and then gathered either side. Would look best with a black full slip under neath the dress as the seams can be seen as it is a little sheer.
 
Closure: 11 ½ " (29 cm) metal zip at the side the side zips in the forties were short due to lack of metal for zips.
 
Ideal to wear for: events this dress can be dressed up or worn more casually. In the forties wrist length lace gloves and a cream or black hat could have been worn with this dress 
 
Vintage Condition: Excellent Vintage Condition: a small area of make do and mend on the inside of the hem and at the top of the zip 
Vintage items are not new they date back to a particular era, some have survived in amazing condition, while others may show some signs of age but we feel they still deserve to make it into our collection.
