Dress is a Rock Follies Vintage Size: 6 - 8 please note although the measurements are more like a 10 the dress has to go on over the head as like many of these antique dresses there are not opening (zips or poppers) so it probably was tied with a ribbon around the waist to get the fit once it was on or worn loose, to achieve a relaxed look even though the original wearer would have worn some sort of corset restrictor. The original belt is no longer with the dress so I have included a length of vintage lace to use as a belt.

Fabric: silk georgette light and flyaway very pretty gentle cream background with water colour type flowers in corals, lilac, greens and pale yellow. Dress is photographed with an under slip not included, please see our Lingerie page, the fabric is quite transparent.
 
Style: Sleeveless bodice cut in straight to the waist, with a hip panel that falls into points all around the hips that the six skirt panels are sewn on to the skirt panels also have six godets inserted into the seams (triangular pieces) to give a fullness at the hem and not the waist or hips.
 
Features: There is a little cape that is attached to the neckline and over the arms to appear like sleeves.
 
Closure: no closure over the head

Vintage Condition: Excellent Vintage Condition: The dress does have some repair however considering the dress is over 100 years it is still a wearable and a very pretty dress.
 
Vintage items are not new they date back to a particular era, some have survived in amazing condition, while others may show some signs of age but we feel they still deserve to make it into our collection.
