Original Vintage: 1930s Green Wool Felt Cut Away Hat
The most delightful simple and yet complex green wool felt hat. The hat has been blocked onto a dome shape block and has a ring of darker green folded petersham tape across the top which is tied at the centre back and the tails hang down to the edge of the hat. The rim of the hat has been skilfully cut into a gentle scalloped edge and little triangles have been cut out above. The result is really very interesting and pretty. Inside there is a wide cotton bias head band.

Vintage Condition: Excellent Vintage Condition: Some bobbling to the felt at the front there may have been a decoration attached at this point but does not affect the style of the hat at all.

A navy woven shiny shellac raffia hat, with navy petersham band cream roses and fine net over brim. There is a hat elastic is inside to secure the hat on the head this is worn behind the hair not under the chin. The hat can be worn on different tilts.
